RED ROSE

She holds a scent like a red rose

and tastes like summer breeze

Bathing in her ocean, she gives a sneak peek into her emotions

To the depths you are willing to go

Skin soft like the petals that bloom

and thorns that hide behind her wounds

She's tender and sweet whilst rooted firmly on both feet

For she has battled her own darkness

slayed dragons that wronged her

with swords made only from love

Piercing their hearts one by one

She holds a scent like a red rose

She's a mirror that reflects the shadows

If you are ready to see, the elixir she holds so generously

With one touch from her healing hands

allowing the darkness to dissipate, evaporate

Transcending into the ethers where time ceases to exist

She's the alchemist

The witch

The wild-eyed priestess

She holds a scent like a red rose

She'll welcome you with open arms

She'll feel like home to some, and hell to others

Depending on the darkness, you are willing to embrace

Not needing to destroy, but needing to save

So it too can be free to co-exist with the light

Finding solace, in complete surrender and harmony

She holds a scent like a red rose
